How easy and common is it for registered nurses to switch specialties? What is the hardest part of that process??

One of the things that is attractive to me about the field of nursing is the idea that after you obtain your RN, you can practice in many different specialties. I would love to hear more about your experience with this topic.

It is as easy as applying for a new job in a new area of nursing. Training is usually available when you change specialties, especially when working within a hospital system.
