Why is Barrett Honors worth it?
I am attending Arizona State University, and have been accepted into Barrett Honors College. Many of my high school friends are also going into ASU for the same degree, however only one of them has applied to Barrett besides me. I like the idea of Barrett but they have additional restrictions that make me hesitant to join it, like having to stay on campus for two years rather than one. With my chosen degree, is Barrett worth it?

I didn't join Barrett Honors myself, but my wife's cousin just graduated in Biomedical Engineering and it really helped him a lot! Employers and recruiters definitely notice it on resumes. I always suggest trying new things if they fit with your work and school balance. Hope this helps a bit!

I know someone who finished her degree at ASU Barrett Honors, and she loved it! She got some great research opportunities that really helped her when applying to grad school. If grad school is your goal, this could be a big plus for you. Honors programs might have more requirements, but they're awesome for meeting new people, building a network, and getting more out of your studies. I hope this helps!
