Anywhere mechanical and electronics are combined ... there will be a job. To see current companies, you can visit the link below and see the companies and read the job descriptions for the type of work. For wages and the type of company, you can look on the GlassDoor site and see if their company is listed ... if so, you can read reviews by employees, wages, and other info.

If u peruse mechatronics u can apply in mechanical as well as electrical engineering for higher studies and for job too. But there is not any seprate exam for mechatronics engineering to get into job such as GATE. some of PSUs conduct its own exam for recruitment. All Automobile Companies (TATA, FIAT, HUNDAI etc.)
