Definitely work in a hospital and gain some experience before you start travel nursing. The first year of being a new nurse is stressful, you do not want to add learning new people and a whole new charting system on top of it. A good year or two under your belt as a nurse will serve you well as a travel nurse.
I know many travel nurses though, and they love it.
