i spent a month at Baylor University in Waco in the summer of 1981 and concur that it's a pretty campus with lots of trees. It's mostly flat land so walking around campus is easy.

however, i'm wondering if you might have meant Baylor Medical School at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. i spent a month there for a summer pre-med program in the late 1980s. stayed at the TWU dorm if i remember correctly. The Baylor and UTHSC buildings are very close to each other so students from both those medical schools interact frequently, along with other students like from the nursing school.

most, if not all, the students live off campus. there is a parking area where you can catch a bus to campus.

the main hospital, Ben Taub, is connected to the medical school. the majority of your training happens there. however, a good portion is also at the VA medical center a few blocks away as well as at some of the other hospitals within the TMC complex.

if you want to get your medical education in an enormous city with unlimited professional & social opportunities then the Texas Medical Center is exactly what you're looking for. Every medical specialty is represented. Patients from every nationality & language. Students from all backgrounds.

Good luck!

Ryan’s Answer

Its a beautiful campus with a lot of activities on an off Campus. Waco used to be a very small town with not much too do, but that has changed rapidly thanks to Chip & Joe. They have a great football stadium and the dorms and housing is mostly nice and concentrated. Its also a pretty flat, walking everywhere is nice, except in those hot Texas summers.
