I actually use the free templates in Microsoft Word. The templates are structured to help you ensure you don't forget anything. Remember, shorter is better. Get to the point. 1-2 pages + a cover letter.

I also use the free templates in Microsoft Word and have in the past Googled "resume templates" to find a template that worked best for my experience. A few tips when writing your resume:
- Keep it short: If you do not have much experience, I'd recommend keeping it to 1 page and at most 2 pages
- In the headline, include your name, email address, and phone number so organizations can easily contact you
- Below headline, I would suggest adding section breaks to separate the sections (e.g. use slightly bigger font or different color / all caps / underline). For example, one flow that I'd suggest for current students or recent graduates is Education section -> Work experience section -> Accomplishments & Extracurricular Activities / Relevant Skills. As experience grows, the Accomplishment section can be removed & Education section can be then placed at the bottom of the resume and streamlined.
- As a student, i always suggest putting your Education up top. If an internship or job aligns to your studies, adding the major and/or minor is helpful as well as the GPA if an honors GPA
- Using bullets is an easy way for a reader to scan your resume. Always use strong action verbs, quantify your work and what it resulted in, and vary the words so they're not too similar
- Remember most recruiters read the resume in a few minutes and some run resumes through algorithms first. Updating your resume to be tailored to the job and using similar words to what is shown in the application can oftentimes help your resume stand out.

Good luck!

Personally, I have searched for millions of resume builders until I found a hidden gem in the novoresume.com website. It's very user friendly, easy to use, has multiple CV layouts even for the free version and it saves all your info on the cloud for when you want to update your CV anytime. Could't get better than this!

2. Resume.com: Resume.com provides a simple and intuitive platform for creating professional resumes. It offers a variety of templates and allows you to customize your resume with different sections and formatting options.

3. Novoresume: Novoresume offers a user-friendly resume builder with a selection of modern and professional templates. It provides step-by-step guidance and allows you to customize your resume content and layout.
