Becoming a PA is a great idea! Loads of opportunities in private offices, clinics, the operating room, etc.
It takes 6 years: 4 in college and 2 in PA school.

If I understand what you meant by PA .Is it a position or a qualification. If it is a qualification generally it is 4years .If it a PA in the right setting's or organisations you like the setting's will determine the requirements.I hope I have answered your question on PA.
