Estelle’s Answer

I remember asking a biochemistry professor for a letter of recommendation. I was not sure he even knew me well, but I really enjoyed his class and thought he was a great teacher.....I was so surprised that he not only agreed to write the letter but wrote a really complimentary one for me. I would never have known that he thought I would be successful had I not asked for that letter.

Carmelita’s Answer

The most memorable thing I remember from college:
Fall semester 1983, my freshman year. The first week of biology class. At the end of class, the professor announced, "Class, your homework can be found at the Pet Computer Lab" (Gulp, cold sweats ensued).
What many of you probably can never conceive is that there was a time before computers were commonplace. That was the 1980s. Up until that biology professor's directive, I had never even touched the keyboard of a computer much less operated a computer. It was a very overwhelming and stressful time for me. While many of my classmates could whip through their homework in minutes, I would be at the Pet Computer (this is what the original Apple computers were called) Lab into the wee hours of the morning. There was definitely a learning curve. I had to teach myself how to use a computer, and much to my chagrin, I also had to learn how to type.
But there! I was able to pass the class by the skin of my teeth with a B-... A VERY hard earned B-.

Erik’s Answer

Hi Daniela,
My most memorable moment in college is not really a specific moment set in a specific date and time.
In a sense, it is my entire college career that is memorable.
I remember coming into college with a bit of a cocky attitude.
I knew college was going to be tough, but I thought I was even tougher. With that being said, I looked down upon my peers/teammates until I was basically shunned by them. I learned to be humble and modest when it came to life. I also significantly matured during my college years. It is surreal to look back at who I used to be, and who I have become/how I have grown as a person.
Sincerely,
Erik Melekh.
