Do you think nursing is more of a calling than a career?

I pursued a medical laboratory degree for 4 years but i later realized that it was a career that would earn me money but not a calling.I have gone back to school and have started with the nurse aid certificate course and I really enjoy what i do.I have applied to join the Associates degree in nursing because thats where my heart is.I am really passionate about helping people and am running towards my dream. Please help me achieve my dream and my calling.Without a heart you can't enjoy the nursing career. #nurse #registered-nurses #lpn

I believe you have to lead with your head and not your heart. While I do believe that nursing is a calling and a ministry, I also believe it is a lucrative career that can be very rewarding if you have the desire to help others. You have invested in the schooling, I say go for it and live your dreams.
