Hi, I have seen NPs working in both inpatient and outpatient centers. They are confident, well trained and efficient in taking care of patients just like physicians. They do have one supervising physician assigned to them in case they have any questions regarding clinical care but most of them become very efficient with experience that they rarely need additional help. The experience of being a nurse practitioner is great! If your heart is truly for serving other people you will find joy. It can also be stressful at times because nurse practitioners provide a service.
