As for an undergraduate college, it does not matter where you go or which major you choose as long as you complete the required classes needed for applying to veterinary schools. However, there are certainly some undergraduate schools that have a specific pre-veterinary major. There are 32 veterinary schools in the US currently that you can apply to - first you must attend to an undergraduate school and complete the required classes.

I went to Colorado State University and was constantly hearing about how it was one of the best veterinary programs in the country. I can't speak for myself as I was in business school but I know CSU has a great reputation for that.
