Tanya’s Answer

I would highly encourage you to get a few years experience as an RN before going to school to be a nurse practitioner. The previous answer is accurate, approximately 2 years for an MSN. However, I would consider going straight for your DNP. It is a terminal degree and it will give you the most options throughout your career.

Haylei’s Answer

If you are already a nurse with a BSN, the MSN should take you around 2 years full-time.
