Is agriculture a good industry?

I want to know if agriculture makes good money and has good job security.

Hi Rafael. If you are into growing foods, taking care of animals and tending to large plots of land, then yes its a good industry. It's actually a billion dollar industry.
Thank you comment icon This can really depend on a lot of different factors. It is something that is pretty easy to get training on, but the cost of entry can be high. If it is something you are interested in, I would recommend studying business because running a farm is very much running a business. Stephanie Miksch

Yes, there's a lot of sub-fields in agriculture like farming, ranching, product processing, cold storage, etc. I live in an area of a big farming industry and they are very busy all year round.

Agriculture is a very noble field. Agriculturist have a big responsibility, world hunger!!! Definitely a good industry to be in. Learn well and innovate the current practices to produce more from less. this is one field which is recession proof. Always in demand. If one is able to produce quality organic crop definitely would be able to make good money moreover with organic methodology one is able to protect the environment as well. Good Luck!!!
