What can I do to increase my chances of acceptance into a nurse practitioner program?

I am interested in becoming a nurse practitioner; what are some things I can do to increase my chances of getting accepted into good programs?

You can also consider volunteering at a hospital and you would be able to see what some nurses do, but make sure to right this done on your application when applying to any nursing school or program. Strong essays, shadowing NPs, RN experience, and a high GPA from nursing school will increase your chances of being accepted to NP school.

Working experience as a RN will improve your chances of being accepted into a NP program. An incredible amount of knowledge is acquired with hands on experience.
