Hello there! Going into veterinary medicine, you can expect:

1. Lots of continuing education. This will help you keep up with evolving medicine
2. There will be times where you can not help every animal. This can be a challenge but remember that you are making a difference by being in the field.
3. Burnout. Burnout is something that majority of veterinary professionals run into. When coming into the field figure out what your are most passionate about and set boundaries for a good work life balance
