What is the best part about being an accountant?

I have considered about doing something with math, and I like doing computer work, so I think that will be a good job for me. #accounting

The best part of being an accountant is the opportunities that your work experience will provide. You will learn "the language of business" and be able to use your accounting experience and knowledge in many different ways. Being an accountant will earn you respect in the field of business leading to a highly successful career.

Since Emily is right in that every person is different, I will answer as well. My favorite part of my job is that I get to work closely with a lot of neat people (not the answer a stereotypical accountant says). I get to work with my team and my clients and maintain relationships with people that I have learned so much from. Other benefits of accounting from my perspective is 1) lots of jobs 2) well paying 3) different everyday

I enjoy working with others on the team; I find that I can learn so much from the people around me, and I have also made many great friends at the companies where I have worked. I get a sense of satisfaction when I complete a project that has been really challenging. I also like to that in accounting, you never stop learning. There are always opportunities to expand your skillset.

The best part about being an accountant is different for everyone. For me, I the best thing is the opportunity to learn about companies in multiple different industries, and see how they have chosen to set up their business. It keeps my job interesting to change up what I learn each day.

Hi Michael,

There are many great aspects to being an accountant. Outside of working with a great team that are like minded, I would say it would be the career development and career opportunities that are my favorite. When you start, it's more about rule based, by the book, accounting, then you learn how that relates to financial reporting and financial decisions. Once you understand that, your insight will be sought after and will open many doors to other career opportunities, both in the accounting side of the fence and on the business unit side. You will get opportunities to leverage that experience and expertise to further refine what the ideal position is for you.
