How can I present my research for fun?

I'm interested in doing research during my free time (just for fun), and I was wondering how I can present to my fellow students and maybe professionals. My college has an annual research conference in the spring (which I participated in recently) but thats the only opportunity I know of to present my research.

Share your findings with classmates and experts alike by showcasing your research. Organize an engaging event and invite your peers to attend, where you'll present your study. Be sure to clarify the purpose of the gathering and make it both enjoyable and informative. When reaching out to professionals, let them know you're exploring (topic) and invite them to attend your presentation if they're available.

Conducting research allows students to expand their personal knowledge of a specific topic or issue.
Presenting research findings encourages students to share their research with fellow students, other faculty, and industry partners. Students refine their research projects and sharpening their presentation skills.
Typically Highschool or college faculty often co-author publications with student authors, and encourage the student authors to present the papers with them at conferences. Also, students can present their own papers at conferences. Students are encouraged to seek additional opportunities through student clubs, professional organizations, government-related activities, etc. Talk with your mentor, teachers, professors, student club advisors to find external opportunities. One example might be in connecting with a group like the council on undergraduate research: https://www.cur.org/who/organization/mission_and_vision/.

Hi Kamaria,

I love this question! One idea that came to mind is starting a blog. Medium is a great place to do this: https://medium.com
I know lots of folks in the research field who self-publish this way. Many also decide to create a newsletter to share their ideas. See if you can find like-minded researchers who are interested in your ideas and would want to be contributors. Depending on your area of expertise, you can also apply to present at some conferences. Many have the opportunity for you to submit your ideas to do a talk or participate on a panel. Also, I want to encourage you to have fun with your research presentations. Don't be afraid to let your creativity shine. If you're not super design savvy, you can use a tool like Canva to help you make beautiful presentations for free! Wishing you good luck on your journey!
