What career paths should I take to become an actor or a singer?

Acting requires knowledge in a variety of things. You need to be worldly so I recommend reading up on history and current events (from political to social). Also make sure you have some knowledge in marketing because you will need to know how to properly communicate and present yourself. You'll also need to start promoting yourself through social media (Youtube, Instagram, etc). For Youtube I recommend making fun videos that show off your acting ability and make you relatable to your desired demographic while also presenting your vocal abilities. Find reputable acting and improve classes to get rid of the nerves and also start developing skills that would look great on your synopsis. For the singing you'll need to find a vocal coach who will help your build your range and give you recommendations on a genre where you'd thrive. Another way to break out in the singing arena is to find someone in the business who makes beats, or a mixologist, who would hear your voice and see potential in making a demo with you. But most of all never give up on yourself. You will get rejection and recommendations that will challenge your values. Don't let anyone stop you from what you desire or force you into a corner. You can always say no and always walk away.
