Yanna’s Answer

The amount of money you can make is tied to the skills you possess. If you're currently a high school student, taking on several jobs might help you earn a substantial amount. However, if you're planning for the future, you might want to think about studying data science or finance in college. By doing so, you'll be in a good position to secure a job at a tech company or investment firm after graduation. These businesses are known for their high-paying salaries. Wishing you the best of luck.

Thais’s Answer

The universal answer to this question is: find a problem that many people go through, and solve it for them.

There are so many problems and issues that people go through every day, so many opportunities to make people's lives easier. Find one, create a solution to solve it, and sell it.

You can use Instagram as a platform to attract an audience that needs the solution you're selling and create ads to increase your reach.

Best of luck!

Hi Isaac

I searched the internet and came up with a few options to start making money right now:

Food Delivery Driver: Work for food delivery services like UberEats, DoorDash, or Grubhub. You can deliver food from local restaurants to customers, and the scheduling is often flexible.

Package Delivery: Sign up as a driver for Amazon Flex or other courier services. You can deliver packages to customers’ doorsteps, often with the convenience of choosing your hours.

TaskRabbit: Offer your services on TaskRabbit, where people look for help with various tasks such as moving, assembling furniture, cleaning, or yard work.

Gig Economy Platforms: Explore platforms like Gigwalk, where you can find quick, local gigs such as mystery shopping, product demonstrations, or store audits.

Handyman Services: If you have skills in basic home repairs, painting, or yard work, advertise your services locally. Many people are willing to pay for help with odd jobs around their homes.

Pet Sitting or Dog Walking: Offer pet sitting services for people going on vacation or provide regular dog walking services for pet owners in your area.

Lawn Care: Start a lawn care service where you mow lawns, trim hedges, or do other yard work for neighbors and local businesses.

Cleaning Services: Offer cleaning services for homes or offices. Many people are willing to pay for help with regular cleaning or deep cleaning tasks.

Moving Assistance: Help people with their moves by offering your assistance with loading and unloading furniture and belongings.

Event Setup/Breakdown: Work for event planning companies or venues, assisting with setting up and breaking down events such as weddings, conferences, or parties.

This is just a list to get you started. Maybe these jobs could lead to contacts at newer jobs, but this is a great start. Good luck!

Kenji’s Answer

Dear Isaac,

Throughout my high school and college years, I gained experience working in restaurants. I found that being a server is an ideal job for students. It typically involves working during evenings and weekends, leaving your days free for classes and studying. The tips you earn as a server can significantly boost your income.

In my opinion, it's one of the best part-time jobs a student can have. It offers good earnings potential, flexible hours, and a fun environment. The people I met while working in restaurants are among the most wonderful individuals I've encountered.

However, it's important to remember that this job is a stepping stone towards your future career. Avoid becoming too comfortable and forgetting your long-term goals. I've seen many individuals become career servers, which isn't ideal if you're studying for a specific profession.

Wishing you all the best!
