Below are my suggestions:
1. Pick a simple programming language, eg python, scratch, etc to start
2. Find out the language syntax and structure. There are plenty of resources online.
3. Do some simple programming. Practise makes perfect!
4. You can do some small projects, eg control a toy car, robotic arm, etc
5. You can learn another programming language after ger familiar with one
6. I strongly recommend you to take computer science course in the college. It can help you have better understanding on.computing theories and programming techniques.

Learn coding as soon as possible because there are certain stories that come out in the marketplace to change people's behavior and one of the big changes is the rubbish story that there aren't going to be anymore coders jobs in five years. Well don't you believe it because the human brain can create reality. The story largely depends on where the investments lie and what will happen to their monetary pocket once things start to gel. Do not waste time get ahead of them

The time to learn coding is when you feel ready and there's no time like the present. It will always be a help to you to begin when you decide the time is right. Children as young as 5 to 7 years old can learn simple coding and advance towards more complex learning. So it's not that you "have" to start learning, just that you have the interest and want to do it. You choose when to start.
If you are in high school you can take computer classes and also think about joining a computer club, group or any activities connected to coding and computers. Meeting others who share the same interest in coding as you will be fun and encouraging. Rian has given you some wonderful resources that seem like they would be fun to start with. I encourage you to start when you can and have fun with it !
