These are all great responses. I would add that college is an opportunity to expand your awareness of the world. When my son graduated high school, he was not sure about what he wanted to do next. I suggested that he attend the local community college and take a variety of courses. This expanded his knowledge and awareness of other things in the world, and he discovered new talents and capabilities that he wanted to pursue.
I would suggest that you consider your local community college, and look for courses on topics that you're interested in. You may discover a field of study that resonates with your goals for life.

I will keep this brief, as someone who has went to both a university and a trade school: you aren’t supposed to go, you don’t have to go if you don’t want to. But, many jobs require post-secondary education, i.e. college or trade school. Without that, you may find that the only job you can get is something that pays less than what you want. Yes, you can work your way up, or you can have a head start on your peers.

- Going to college is a personal decision. If you don't know, maybe take a gap year to work or travel and then re-evaluate. But don't just stay home - develop and execute a plan to do something with that time
- Write down what concerns you about going to college. Then your family and other respected adults could help you think through whether those concerns are solvable or should direct you to another path
- Think about what careers interest you and research whether you need a college degree to do them
- While deciding on whether to attend a 4-year college, you could take a course or two at a community college. This would give you a feel for what college might be like and give you transferable credits if you want to get a bachelor's degree
