I am Libin Mangarath Kuriakose, a cardiac Perfusionist from India. I have done my perfusion course way back in 2013 from the prestigious Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute of Medical Sciences Bangalore, India. The curriculum and the framework of the course were very much adhering to the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion program standard. The classes were conducted by renowned teaching faculty including cardiac surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists and Perfusionists.
I’m pleased to be writing regarding the Perfusionist job Vacancy in German Heart Center Berlin . With over 7 years of experience in this field, I have a wide exposure to the entire spectrum of congenital and acquired pediatric and adult heart surgery. I completed my bachelors in cardiovascular perfusion technology with merit from Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute of Medical Sciences (under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) in 2013. I have performed as an independent Perfusionist for more than 1000 surgeries of varying complexities including arterial switch operations, TAPVC repairs in neonates at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital, Raipur from 2012 to 2015. At Sri Satya Sai, I worked as a chief pediatric cardiac Perfusionist in the department of pediatric and congenital heart surgery and got the best chances to perform numerous varying complexities of surgical procedures. Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani hospital is a charitable organization with 100 bedded super specialty in pediatric cardiac surgery performing 1200 surgeries annually. All medical surgical treatment and support services are rendered completely free of charge to all. After my final year of bachelor’s at Narayana Institute, I worked as a cardiovascular Perfusionist trainee (internship) for six months.

At present, I work at King Khalid Prince Sultan Cardiac Centre (Under Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia) as a cardiovascular Perfusionist-Specialist. I moved to this Centre in 2015 and handle cases such as Valve surgeries, CABG, Aortic aneurysm procedures, carrying out the responsibilities of Clinical Perfusionist independently. This hospital is accredited by JCI, CBAHI and is located in Najran, KSA. At King Khalid, an average of 15-20 cardiac surgeries are performed per month. It has a total bed capacity of 300 beds and there are two operation theatres, one hybrid OR dedicated for cardiac surgery. I perform a leading role in the hospitals upcoming ECMO program. We do the surgical backup for coronary care unit in the hospital and often operate in the hybrid operating room for aortic dissection stenting procedures with left heart bypass.

I am a certified Perfusionist from India with ISECT (Indian Society of Extracorporeal Technology) Life Membership, licensed cardiovascular Perfusionist-specialist from SCFHS (Saudi Commission for Health Specialties), ACLS and BCLS Provider from American Heart Association/ Saudi Heart Association. As per the WES Canada credential evaluation, I got the Canadian equivalency of bachelor’s degree in cardiovascular perfusion technology (3 years) with a GPA of 3.23 and total of 91.5 undergraduate semester credits. I am looking forward to write EBCP Perfusionist certification exam as well. I’ve attached my resume for more details on my education and all of my work experience.
