Here are a few interview questions I want to ask a psychiatrist...

Question 1:
What inspired you to become a psychiatrist?

Question 2:
How long have you been practicing psychiatry?

Question 3:
How do you measure progress in treatment?

Question 4:
How do you decide on whether or not medication is necessary?

Question 5:
How do you get your patients to open up about themselves?

Question 6:
Do you often collaborate with other healthcare professionals?

Question 7:
What is one thing you’ve learned from your patients over the years?

Thank you comment icon Hello Micheal, I'm a psychiatrist. You are asking interesting probing questions. I will give what might some to be a flippant answer to you, though I do not intend it this way: Are you a medical student considering specializing in Psychiatry? If so, tell me, and we can delve a little further. But if you are not a medical student yet, then I think that you are getting ahead of yourself. Focus on getting into medical school [if that is what you really want to do] and then there you can ponder your questions as you consider which medical specialty you want to choose. I hope this helps, Perry Perry Zuckerman
Thank you comment icon Hello Micheal, Your inquiry is right up my alley! You're the ideal mentor for me, but my specialty is economics, so I'm not in a position to offer guidance. I suggest diving into this fascinating subject from an Artificial Intelligence perspective or continue looking my peer's advice. May good fortune always be with you! Isida Mici

Although I don’t have personal experience, my friend, who is a psychiatrist, has shared valuable insights. They emphasized the importance of empathy, collaboration with other healthcare professionals, and the need for a tailored approach to each patient. They also noted the profound resilience patients show in overcoming mental health challenges.
