Do you know anyone who runs a hair store? Ask him or her about all the things it takes to be successful. Write a list of all the things the store owner needs to do beyond knowing about hair. And are you familiar with these things? For example, do you know how to keep a budget of sales and all the costs of a business. Or design the layout of a store? Or manage employees? Or advertise your new store? Or get a small business loan to get started?

A business program can introduce you to all these topics. While you may feel ready now, college can help you prepare to tackle all of these various challenges so your new store is more successful.
