Learn new skills! Challenge the Status Quo! Expose yourself to challenges! Never stop learning! Have a curiosity towards pharmacy drugs and therapeutics! And most importantly, understand that you are a pharmacist to serve patients!
All these things will help you to enjoy the work you are doing and ensure that you will be a successful pharmacist.

Hi Zeinabe! In order to become a pharmacist you'll want to make sure to study extra hard in your science courses in high school. Then when applying to colleges you will want to focus on applying to schools that have strong programs in the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and some even offer Pharmaceutical Sciences courses specifically. You will want to work hard to maintain a good GPA and learn as much as possible. After your undergrad studies you will want to apply to a Pharmacy School where you will get specific training for your career and then pass a test to get officially certified.
Outside of the classroom you can start to get good exposure to the field by volunteering or working in the health care space and/or finding a pharmacist to mentor you. Hearing about how other pharmacists have navigated their careers can help plan out your future.
Hope this helps and best of luck in your journey!
