What does a day working in the pharmaceutical industry look like?

I want to hear about the different jobs opportunities or positions a person working in this field can have? What does a normal day at work for you look like? I would enjoy reading about the laboratory side, business/office side, or a pharmacist side. I'm open to hearing from anyone. I also would like to know if you enjoy your job and how do you balance it with your personal life?

What's my next step for the summer as a rising senior intending to major in pharmacology if most are not available?

Following up with my previous question on what part time job I can get for pharmacology, I tried applying for a pharmacy clerk position at a local Walgreen. However, Michigan law (where I'm at) says that we must have a high school diploma to get a job at a pharmacy. Same with most hospitals: most prefer if you are in college or have at least some medical experience. I am still waiting for a couple internship summer program results. I'm also trying to reach out to local college professors, research centers, and small pharmaceutical companies if they would let me intern over the summer, but I'm not so sure if they would take me in. I do have a great volunteer work though! Been going at it for the last couple months at a blood donation center :) Any other suggestions on what I can do over the summer to prepare myself for college?

Which school would be a good fit for me??

I have always wanted to major in neuroscience because I love learning about the brain. However, as I learned more about the area of study, I found out that I was interested in a lot of things surrounding mental illness: medicine, pharmacology, public health, and law (forensics). What are some schools that will allow me to learn more about all these subjects? I am aiming for the top schools. I would really appreciate your help!

What is Pharmaceutical Research like?

Hi! My name is Melanie, and I am in high school. I am searching for someone working in Pharmaceutical Research to conduct an interview for a Foundations in Health Science class project on researching prospective careers. I have created questions (below), so please answer them all to be part of my project! :) 1. What is your field of pharmaceutical research, and why did you choose to pursue it? 2. Were there specific moments you realized you wanted to study pharmacy (in general) or your specialized field of study? 3. How many years of college did you need to complete? Please list all degrees earned/ still in progress, majors, and school attended. 4. How did you decide whether earning a Ph.D. in this field was worth it? 5. Did you have to pivot and go back to school at a later date? 6. What jobs did you work before you landed your present professional job? Did they help prepare you for your career now? 7. Did you ever shadow or intern under another professional in the field? 8. Did you ever join any school clubs that helped build skills for your current profession? 9. Were there any particular subjects you struggled with during your school years? 10. What skill sets did you learn or gain while pursuing your career? 11. What is your work environment (ex: company or academic), and how would you rate the stress level of it? 12. Do you find your profession fulfilling? (in terms of work-life balance, weekly work hours, income, interest/ mental stimulation, etc.) 13. What other passions/ likes you have outside of your profession have you been able to incorporate into your job? (ex: socioeconomic equity, teaching others, discovering new things, etc.)

Is it better to get a degree in chemistry or chemical engineering?

I'm a rising high school senior at a school that has allowed me to graduate high school with a associates degree in liberal arts, and I was thinking of applying to a college where I could get at least a bachelor's in Chemical engineering, thinking of going into a pharmaceutical job. I really enjoyed my chemistry and biology classes and thought this would be a good position for me to look into. Would it be best to geta. degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or would another degree entirely be best. Thanks!
