Any health professional student who has been through the Junior COSTEP process willing to answer my questions about certain parts of the application?

Hello, I am a pharmacy student interested in doing the Junior COSTEP program with the Public Health Service. I just started the application, but I am confused and struggling to fill-out some parts. I have emailed AES and COSTEP but have yet to hear anything. Does anyone mind if I ask them questions or willing to answer to the best of your abilities? Here are my questions: 1. For education, do we complete state the colleges, universities, or institutions we have attended/ attending? It seems to have a character limit which is odd? 2. Also, for semester credits, do we put all the credits earned if we completed a program? Idk how to go about this sections, I wish there was examples to reference too. 3. Will my references have to send me their completed PHS-1813 form to submit or will they submit it on their own? 4. Should I have a physician or any provider fill-out my medical form or is it okay if I fill it myself? Please elaborate which parts DD 2807-2 form I should fill-in and what parts my provider must do. Any suggestions, advice, or solutions are appreciated!

What does a day working in the pharmaceutical industry look like?

I want to hear about the different jobs opportunities or positions a person working in this field can have? What does a normal day at work for you look like? I would enjoy reading about the laboratory side, business/office side, or a pharmacist side. I'm open to hearing from anyone. I also would like to know if you enjoy your job and how do you balance it with your personal life?

What is the difference in the 0-6 program and 2-4 program for PharmD, and which is more beneficial?

Alright, I'm back as a senior now! Getting into the detail for college, I decided I'm going into pharmaceutical science (if they have) or biochemistry. Some schools offer PharmD (Doctor of Pharmacy), so I am planning on doing that but there's two paths. One is the direct entry, where I go straight into PharmD for 6 years (0-6 program) , or I go in as undergrad for 2 years through pre-pharm then transfer to PharmD for 4 years (2-4 program). What's like the pros and cons and which one would be more beneficial

What are job options are offered once you become a pharmacist?

I'm currently a high school senior who recently got admitted to a direct entry program for pharmacy. Just wondering what other jobs pharmacists can take on that isn't the average retail or clinical positions. I understand pharmacy isn't as surface level as it seems so I'm really curious about all the mini labels and positions that is available. Thanks in advance!

Is pharmacy a good alternative to nursing ?

I’m working on college applications and I’ve noticed that getting into nursing school is harder these days—harder than getting into pharmacy from what I’ve seen. Therefore I’ve been thinking of pharmacy as a backup plan. How different is pharmacy from nursing? I feel like there is only one job you can do with pharmacy and that’s obviously a pharmacist, but can you do another job with that degree? I’ve also heard there has been a decrease in student demand in pharmacy overall? Does the job contain a high-stress environment? What do you do exactly on the job?
