What inspired you to keep pursuing your career? What was the sign that made you see, even through hard days this career was meant for you to push through and keep going?

I knew I had a passion for educating children when I was having a rough personal day, and within that day, I found myself helping my little cousin with her math homework (1st grade). As I helped her understand the work, her progress helped me feel better as a reward of some sort for pushing through my tough day.

I love this! While in high school, I was part of a mentorship program for elementary school kids and absolutely fell in love with training and teaching. Although my official career took me in a different direction, in my spare time I still volunteer and donate my time to places like career village and others, which allow me to get back.

If you can make a career out of something, you are super passionate about, that will make your life much much easier!
Thank you comment icon Thank you so much for sharing your story! kids are easy to get attached to especially helping them. I’m happy you still stick to that even though you went a different direction. I totally agree, careers that match your personality also match your passions. Taryn
