How can college skills be applied to everyday life?

The meaningful lessons taught in classrooms should really stick with people so I am wondering what is the best way to apply those lessons, even if they are simple, to my life.

Ce’s Answer

Hi Bianca, Think of the skills you learn in college like a toolbox. The important part is figuring out how to use them in real life. For example, critical thinking classes can help you tell if online information is true and think carefully about ads when you shop. Basic statistics can help you plan your finances and think about risks. Working on group projects can make you better at talking with others, which helps in family decisions and teamwork at work.

Rosemary’s Answer

Hello Bianca,
This is what your future will be all about: planning and making decisions in life. Timing is everything. Beginning with self-care, working, your livelihood, and your future. The good and the bad. Make a bucket list of all the goals you want to accomplish in life and stay on course. And timing is everything, even though age is nothing but a number. As long as we have breath, we can succeed in life, it's never too late.
