How do you figure out what balance looks like for you when juggling work, classes, extracurriculars, and still trying to make time for yourself ? #Spring25

I am currently a High School senior about to graduate in one month. The only thing I am worried about is trying to find a good balance between everything in college.

Hi MaKayla! I totally get what you’re feeling that transition into college can feel overwhelming when you’re thinking about classes, work, clubs, and still trying to take care of yourself. Personally, I rely a lot on my calendar to stay grounded. I made mine on Google Docs, but Google Calendar, Apple, and Notion work great too! Scheduling everything, including time for yourself, helps prevent burnout and keeps things from piling up.

One thing I’ve learned is to ease into things. When I first started college, I was so excited that I joined too many clubs and said yes to everything, and it burned me out fast. Instead, try to slowly incorporate activities into your routine see what you can handle, and adjust from there. Also, I really recommend making time to work out or move your body in some way. It’s been a huge help for my mental health and overall focus in school.

Balance looks different for everyone, but if you stay organized, give yourself grace, and prioritize your well-being, you’ll find what works for you.
