What is one thing I should definitley know before joining the real-estate industry??

I plan on attending OSU in Stillwater and pursuing and Ag real-estate career. I am super excited, but I do think getting started in this field will be pretty difficult.

In addition, AG real estate is very specialized and often times requires specific knowledge pertaining to farming, land management, and agricultural regulations. You may want to consider obtaining your degree in business to ensure you can expand beyond AG real estate.

One thing you should definitely prepare for in joining the real estate industry is volatility. There are so many economic facets that play into the real estate market - it can change very quickly, have massive swings, and be unpredictable due to macroeconomic causes. If you know this ahead of time, you can take the changes with a bit more ease, and you can do your best to prepare for them throughout the years.

That’s why it’s so important to always market yourself and your business with professionalism—it helps attract the right kind of business.
