In my future i see myself as a Marine Biologist and or Oceanographer. How can I strive for that in my future? ?
Im a 8th grader and Throughout my life I’ve waited to explore things with animals. I want to learn, study, and live on about the ocean and its creatures. What can I do from collages, to studying to prepare my future and to help me succeed with what I love? - the more I learn to love the more I can see myself in this career.

Hi Elliotte,
Start with science, math, technology, and reading. These will prepare you with an understanding about biology, chemistry, environmental science, measurement and analysis and an ability to consume papers and information about marine life, our oceans, and how we are all interconnected.
Get some hands on experience at local aquariums and museums if possible. maybe join a science club and explore local coast lines and rivers around you home. Internet is a fountain of information and there are tons of great documentaries and videos on YouTube. If you have time, you may want to volunteer at a local nature center or animal shelter.
Talk to your guidance counselor as you prepare for high school and take as many courses in science as you can.
Most of all. Be Curious! Ask Why and How all the time. Don't be afraid to ask follow up questions if you don't understand or don't think your question was fully answered.
