How to format your promptbook?

Another stage management question! So, I have recently finished stage managing my first show (Annie Jr.!) and it was awesome, my director/ teacher says I'm a natural.
However, I ran into one key issue constantly. I don't know how to format my promptbook.
I tried lots of different things but I think my main issues are that I don't know where to write all this information, I don't know how much to write/ how much detail I should include, and I never have enough time to write things down because rehearsal moves so quickly!
Please help!

I recently hosted a Stage Management workshop and the speaker recommended the book, "The Back Stage Guide to Stage Management" by Thomas A. Kelly.


I know that doesn't give a specific answer, but it would be a great place to start. Hope this helps!

ALso, set up informatinal interview with other stage managers, and ask them how they do theirs. People L O V E to he asked to help those just starting, provided you have specific questions on your pain points experienced they way you attempted to do your note book. Make sense?
