Hi Giselle 👋🏻...
I didn’t wake up one day deciding, “I’m going into science.”
It started with a moment that surprised me.
I was studying for a biology test, tired and half-distracted, when I read about how a single nerve signal travels down the body. One spark… and suddenly a muscle moves. It felt wild that something so tiny could shape everything we do. That little moment pulled me in.
Science motivates me because it rewards curiosity. The more you ask “why does this happen?” the deeper the world opens up. It’s the only field where you can be wrong a hundred times and still move forward, because every wrong turn teaches you something real.
If you’re thinking about pursuing science, try this:
Pay attention to which topics make you lose track of time. Chemistry experiments? Space documentaries? Human anatomy? That little pull matters more than grades or prestige.
Science isn’t about being the smartest person in the room.
It’s about liking the feeling of figuring things out, piece by piece.
When you feel that spark — that tiny “wait, how does that work?” — that’s the thing worth following.

Wow Yasmin s answer is great....I would emphasize the word curiosity
..its that curiosity that pulled me to look into science as he said that spark of heck why does that work or this do something unexpected....the best part about science in general is there are many Avenues you can pursue chemistry , physics, medicine ,biological sciences, even engineering has scientific background..... life doesn't revolve around A.I. .... as soo many young people think !! although computer science is something that is still in its infancy as computers have taken over many industries and unfortunately have reduced young people to relay on goggle for answers on everything it has reduced creativity and dumbed down the majority of young bright minds and the young creative are becoming fewer and fewer......soooo don't fall into that trap and go thru life like a herd animal......seek knowledge and use your mind to create something new and you will shine above the rest 😉
