How can I find out what I want to do in a business career?

Im currently a junior and im struggling to find out what job I want for the future. And im trying to figure out what I would want to do in the future, but all I know is that I want to pursue something in Business.

Hi Khrisla. I would apply a very simple approach. Make a list of the things that you like to do and the things that you think you're good at or that you are interested in. Once you've completed your initial list you can score each item on the list to develop a new short list of things that you think you might want to do as a career. Next you can look at job descriptions on linkedin.com using key words from your short list. This process will help you to clearly see the things that you want to search for in a field, career or specific job.

For example, if you also enjoy technology, you might look into technology consulting, which combines business skills with an interest in tech. If you’re drawn to medicine or healthcare, there are opportunities in healthcare operations and other related fields that still fall under the business umbrella. That’s one of the best things about business as a career path, you can shape it around what you enjoy and build something that fits your interests, and there are many different directions you can go. 1. Concentrate on your studies, and study well.
2. Thinking about the type of business.
3. Knowing the required skills for the business.
4. The required capital for the business.
5. Location of the business.
6. Availability for favourable marketing conditions.
