One of the ways to research what a position entails is to look up the job description. Google "Zookeeper jobs". A list of jobs will populate for you to re view. different Zoo's/properties will have various descriptions but it will give you a scope of duties that they do plus the qualifications and skills/experience required. You may do this for most any job.
Also, search "what do I need to study to become a zookeeper" and the results should give you the majors/study programs affiliated for the position. In your town they may have volunteering at zoos. First hand experience will enlighten your interests.
