How can I land my dream job as an equine vet?
What classes or credits do I need in college, and what type of job or internship would be best? How can I limit the time and cost of school?

I found volunteering to be the best route to get valuable hands on experience with animals. Check out the local equine vets and rescues, there are most likely opportunities for any skill level. The earlier you start the better, good luck!

I agree with volunteering so you can have experience and see if the actual care is something you enjoy long term. I'd ask a stable or horse farm or even a ferrer to be a sit in, just so you can become familiar with some of those things. Horses are wonderful but they are very large animals that can spook easily, and safety for you and your patient should always be first! Good luck to you!
