It's great that you already know what you enjoy, but I'd encourage you to think a little deeper. Basketball, football, WWE, and being on your phone are hobbies. They don't necessarily tell you what you'll enjoy doing as a career.

Instead, ask yourself: What am I naturally good at? Do people look to you for leadership? Are you a strong communicator? Do you enjoy solving problems? Are you good at working with your hands, learning new skills, teaching others, staying organized, or motivating a team? Those strengths often point toward careers you'll enjoy and succeed in.

Since you're athletic, don't limit yourself to becoming a professional athlete. Your athleticism could translate into careers like coaching, personal training, physical therapy, athletic training, skilled trades, construction management, law enforcement, firefighting, or other physically active professions. If you enjoy sports, there are also careers behind the scenes in sports management, marketing, broadcasting, event operations, and sports medicine.

My advice is to get intentional. Think about the kind of life you want to build over the next 10 to 20 years. What income would you like to earn? Do you want to travel? Own a business? Have a predictable schedule? Once you have that vision, research careers that match those goals and identify the education or training they require.

In the meantime, start taking action. Talk with people in careers that interest you, shadow someone for a day, volunteer, get a part-time job, or join clubs that help you develop leadership and teamwork. Every experience teaches you something about yourself.

You don't have to have your entire future figured out today, but you should begin exploring it intentionally. The more you learn about your strengths and interests now, the more confident you'll be when it's time to choose a career path.
