Registered nurses need to be organized and good at multi-tasking. They need to be curious about the sciences and physical anatomy. Registered nurses need to be able to show compassion for both physical and emotional human suffering . Being a Registered nurse is very rewarding and opens up many different healthcare career pathways. Good Luck!

You should want to help people. You will see people at their best and their worst. You will develop many skills. You should be a person who likes to learn new things continuously. You should be self motivated and organized. That being said things can change rapidly and what you thought your day was going to look like can change in seconds. You have to be adaptable and flexible at times. It is a great responsibility and can be challenging. I have been a nurse since 1982. Greatest profession that I could have chosen.
