Besides your course books you could read some general interest magazines like New Scientist and Scientific American to get more perspectives.

Yes, you can read the supplemental stuff, but taking advanced placement science will challenge you more and give you more skills and knowledge.

Also, keep working at perfecting your English language skills. They are very important for advanced science or any other subject.

Most importantly, don't be afraid to succeed. You may stumble now and then, but learn from those oopses, and keep pushing yourself to be great.
