Does anyone believe that it is harder to achieve your college career goals far away from home on campus?

I was thinking about going farther away for college but now I'm not so sure I can handle it. I think I would miss my family too much.

You can benefit so much from living on campus, particularly far away from your family. You learn how to do things on your own. I think that in order to prepare well for the real world, you need to take initiative in training yourself to be more independent. It's a great feeling when you learn to manage your own time, when you decide when to have a meal, whether to go to class or not, when you do your own laundry, creating your own schedule. I benefited a lot from living on campus far from home as I concentrated more in my studies, without distraction from anyone, and focused on which clubs and activities to join in order to grow. Think about independence and growth.
