Are job opportunities in the field of marketing and design increasing or decreasing.

Hi Noah -

There are always going to be opportunities in marketing and design. I think that design jobs are actually increasing with the new push for more user experience and human-centered design in our products. I am a user experience designer and I've heard that there are a lot of jobs out there and not enough designers to fulfill those jobs. Also, if you look at any company in any industry, there's always going to be a need for marketing / design.

To be proactive, I'd say to start looking at what kind of opportunities exist for new grads fresh out of college. In those job descriptions, you can see what kinds of skills and experiences employers are looking for and keep those things in mind as you pick your classes and the projects you work on.

Hi Noah - There will always be opportunities for Marketing and Design. The way it's done might change but it's always there. I agree with the previous comments that online is probably the new push. I would look at online marketing as well as social media marketing. Hope this helps.
