Is there a specific degree that I should choose when wanting to apply to dental school?

I am enrolling in college and I want to become a dentist in the future. Is there a specific plan of study I should follow in order to achieve this? #college #dentistry #dentist #academic-advisor #pre-dental

Neil’s Answer

There's no specific degree that is required. Dental Schools want to admit well - rounded students, so as long as you have a degree, the pre-requisites for Dental School, and a good GPA, you will be in good shape from a scholastic stand point to apply

I would stick with the Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Genetics). Dental School is very Science oriented. Choose the one you like the most or find the most interesting, you may do better and strive for the best grades. You will need very high grades for applying to Dental School. Good luck to you!
