How would I become a veterinarian?

I am currently in high school and I am currently in a veterinary class, working with animals and giving animals what they need. Are there colleges that would help me even more with my veterinary path? #veterinarian #high-school #science

Hi Brianna,

It's so exciting that you are interested in becoming a veterinarian!!
I agree with all of Elizabeth's comments.

It's important that you get a solid science education in both high school and college. Veterinary schools are hard to get in. It may benefit you to attend a college with a Pre-veterinary Studies program. Here are a few of the universities that have pre-vet programs. You can find more a more extensive list at the universities.com website.

It's also a good idea to get some hands-on experience through internships or volunteering to make sure this profession is for you.
Veterinary studies is a hard curriculum and you will need to be dedicated to do the work to succeed.
