Safwan’s Answer

Hi Siyabonga, there are a number of ways to become a doctor but I'm going to list some general ways to go about achieving this career goal. Some students in high school work really hard to meet prerequisites for a 7 year or other long term medical program. These are definitely difficult to get into and have a lot of requirements like good grades, essays, and extracurricular activities. If a student is already in college then the most common way to become a doctor is take the premed required courses (Chem, Bio, Physics, Organic Chem, and Bio Chem with their labs) and then take the MCATS to get into medical school. Medical Schools have a lot of their own requirements so it's a good idea to do research on medical schools. Once your in medical school, you have a whole other set of tasks to end up becoming a licensed doctor but i hope my answer helps get you to that point.
