Sithabiso’s Answer

Running a business takes a lot of hard work and commitment. Starting it takes ever more hard work and commitment. Listed below is a brief description of how to start and run a business.

Sithabiso recommends the following next steps:

Do as much research as possible on the industry.
Find a mentor. The mentor must be knowledgeable in the area of business that you want to go into. A mentor can assist you with the next steps.
Write your business plan. A business plan is a written document about the business description and future plan.
The business will now need to be formalized through registeration with varioud authorities including tax. Use your business plan to look for funding for your business.
Do not stop learning and researching about ways to continue improving your business.

Ethan’s Answer

Focus on your talent in boxing. Everyday train, no one sees the work that goes into what you do in the ring. What you do in private shows in public. When its 5am and everyone's sleeping you need to awake working on slipping. Develop your talent as a boxer and the business will follow. The best way to promote a gym is to have someone who has shown success in the field. Focus on your technique everyday and focus on training. Get as much ring time as you can and when your not training study. Make boxing into something you do for fun, videogames are fun and all but nothing will carry you further than work ethic, a good attitude, and knowledge. Start watching film and find your favorite boxer, mimic his every move . Start investigating CEO's of major companies or gyms, mimic their every move. Learn from others success but most important their failure.

Sikawayi’s Answer

Hello Jaylen, you have asked an excellent question. Now first of all since your only in 9th grade I would suggest that you sit down with your parents and have a heart-to-heart conversation about the sport you want to be a part of. The reason your parents need to be involved is because in order to start down this road your first step would be to learn how to box which would involve lessons, renting a locker and a trainer I'm assuming you will need help with these expensive. Put these things in order and you'll be on your way.

Max’s Answer

You can participate in a world you love by continuing to do something boxing related. However, you need to prepare for the leap from athlete to business owner - very different skill sets. Your attitude is transferable but you still need some basic business skills. Talk to people who are business owners, ask them about their path, look for a mentor. Go through the steps to build a full business plan, just the same way you would prepare for a match.
