How can I find a community of Veterinarians or Veterinary students?

Just looking for people that could be advisors or mentors. Also just sharing the reality of the veterinary field would be great.

If you are in college, look to see if there is a pre-vet club on your campus. If you haven't yet started college, visit the website at UGA and see if they have any weekend or summer programs for high school students. You can also follow vet programs and pre-vet clubs on social media to learn more about their activities and the profession. There are also many vet podcasts that you might enjoy like Vet Candy, Vetsplaining, Vet School Unleased, Veterinary Pulse, and PreVet Pawscast.

Colby, Kansas is the only school in the state of Kansas teaching Vet school. My niece went to it and mk was the program and the people. Hope this helped.

I would recommend finding some of the numerous groups on social media! There are tons of Veterinarian and Vet tech Facebook groups as well as Instagrams. I would start there to see a more realistic picture of day to day vet med.
