Dana’s Answer

Take a few courses in each of the areas of interest, and ask the professors about opportunities for jobs in each of the majors. I started out in college as an engineering major and in my second year, changed my major to mathematics. I took a few engineering courses and found I didn't enjoy the subject matter as much. However, the engineering courses satisfied some of my elective requirements, so it was a win-win.

Lisa’s Answer

Zaid, higher mathematics is being used in the areas of Big Data in business and marketing across many industries. You don't even need to have to go as far as obtaining a PhD. The math does get pretty difficult the farther you progress in college. You will also do a lot of programming using algorithmic software. So, you could major in Mathematics or move over to Computer Science or Software Engineering.

Mutasim’s Answer

From my personal experience. I would say do core classes first if you don't know exactly what you want to do. You may change majors a couple times before you really understand what you want to do and get out of your future career.

Mutasim recommends the following next steps:

Start college
Do not give up. Put your head down and complete your degree
Graduate
