What do you recommend I do during my senior year?

I feel like during senior year, there will be too much stuff going on and I won't know what to focus on first. What would you recommend I prioritize or what things should I accomplish as a senior? (socially and academically or just in general)

Enjoy your classmates, activities and family, as you transition into the next phase of your life. You will make many life defining decisions in the next 4 years, where and if you want an advanced degree, about 80% chance of meeting your spouse, and choosing a career path.

Be a good life friend, engage with your classmates, and don't forget your family since they got you this far and will provide support after you exit the nest to pursue your life journey.

It goes by very fast, so enjoy the present and may your dreams become reality.

Scott recommends the following next steps:

Step out of your comfort zone: Challenge yourself to try new things and step outside of your comfort zone. Join a club or organization that piques your interest but is different from your usual activities. It could be a debate club, an art class, a hiking group, or anything that catches your attention. Embracing new experiences will help you grow, develop new skills, and broaden your perspective.
Connect with others: Senior year is a perfect opportunity to build meaningful relationships with your peers and create lasting memories. Take the initiative to connect with classmates you haven't had the chance to get to know well before. Attend social events, strike up conversations, and be open to making new friends. Surrounding yourself with a diverse group of people will expose you to different perspectives and enrich your overall experience.
Take on leadership roles: Look for opportunities to take on leadership positions within your school or community. It could be leading a club, organizing an event, or volunteering for a cause you're passionate about. Taking on responsibility will not only enhance your leadership skills but also give you a sense of accomplishment and contribute to your personal growth.
Pursue a passion project: Use your senior year as a chance to dive deeper into a personal passion or interest. Whether it's writing a short story collection, starting a blog, creating art, or launching a community initiative, dedicating time and effort to something you love will bring a sense of fulfillment and allow you to develop your skills in that area.
Embrace the present moment: While it's important to plan for the future, don't forget to live in the present and savor each moment of your senior year. Engage fully in your classes, appreciate the friendships you've built, and cherish the memories you create. Practice mindfulness and gratitude to fully experience and appreciate the final year of your high school journey.
