Hi Cavion. I saw some of your other questions and thought I should respond to this one. For this question, consider that programming vs managing programmers aren't just different jobs, they're different careers, and just because you're good at one doesn't mean the other one is for you. A lot of people with strong technical and programming skills don't enjoy the inevitable people processes that come with the job of a manager. If you like the idea of programming, while doing little of it but guiding others on what's expected, then CIS management would be a good role for you. If you instead appreciate the freedom to be creative and actually use the technical skills, then I would consider an engineer or architect role.

Im a Program Manager. I love my job. You just have to stay organized, establish and identify your teams roles and what they consist of. Always stay on top of asks. Make things like trello, excel, planners and sticky notes your best friend. You will love it if you love to work with teams and keep things organized.
